Stephen is a Partner in Arthur D. Little’s London office with considerable consulting and industry experience. His primary focus areas include upstream oil and gas companies worldwide, with experience including strategic guidance, portfolio optimization, techno-economic, commercial and contract review. Stephen also focuses on the implementation of operational performance improvements and advice on M&A delivery. He has worked extensively with utility companies, particularly in Europe, on a range of wholesale, retail and generation issues. Stephen is a graduate of Oxford University and INSEAD.

Dr. Matthias von Bechtolsheim is a Partner in Arthur D. Little´s Frankfurt office. He is responsible for the Energy and Utilities practice in Central Europe. He has experience with large and midsize utilities companies as well as other service and manufacturing industries. The focus of his work is business and technology innovation and IT strategy. He has a diploma and PhD in business administration from the University of Cologne.

Kurt Baes is an Partner in Arthur D. Little's Brussels office and responsible for the Operations Management practice in the Benelux. Prior to that, he has managed Arthur D. Little's Shanghai office during three years.

Kurt has gained over thirteen years of strategy and operations management consulting experience in Europe and Asia / China, mainly in the Energy / Utilities, Manufacturing and Chemicals industries. His area of expertise covers market strategy, organisation diagnostic and redesign, change management, post-merger integration, risk and portfolio management, strategic sourcing and overall performance improvement. He is a Belgian national with an MSc degree from K.U.Leuven and an MBA from Cornel University (New York), and speaks Dutch, French, English and German.

Dean is a Managing Partner of Arthur D. Little in Central and Eastern Europe.

He is responsible for the business development in Eastern Europe and focuses on Energy and Utilities, Public Services and Travel and Transportation.

He has considerable experience in management consulting, with projects on regulation, market liberalization, and organizational effectiveness, managing the profitability of groups of customers (calculations, segmentations, reporting), enhancing business efficiency, cost management, risk management and strategy creation.

Dean graduated from the Economics University in Prague, specializing in economics of industry. He is the President of the Chief Finance Officers’ Club (CFO Club) which has nearly 150 members from leading Czech and Slovak companies.

Saverio is a Partner in Arthur D. Little's Rome office with many years of experience in industry and in consulting. His primary focus areas are organizational improvement, strategic planning and advice on M&A delivery. He has worked extensively with the main Italian utilities such as Enel, Acea, and Eni. Saverio is a graduate of Università degli studi di Roma "la sapienza".

Paolo is a Partner in Arthur D. Little’s Milan office with extensive consulting experience. His primary focus areas include upstream oil and gas companies worldwide, with experience including strategic guidance, organizational improvement, business&technology planning, design-to-cost, externalities and industrial risk management. He has worked extensively with major IOCs and NOCs and utility companies. Paolo is a graduate in Engineering and is fluent in Italian, French and English.

Rodolfo is a Partner in Arthur D. Little's Houston office with considerable consulting experience in the global energy industry. His functional interests are focused on the areas of strategy development and organizational change. He has worked extensively with several NOCs and IOCs in Latin America. Rodolfo received his degree in Mechanical Engineering "Summa Cum Laude" from Universidad Simón Bolí­var in Caracas, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Daniel is a Principal in Arthur D. Little's Global Energy Practice, and Leader in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From there and from Madrid he has provided assistance on organization, strategy and corporate finance to both regional and international energy, oil and gas companies in Europe, Latin America, USA, Middle East and Africa. Daniel has been involved in the deregulation of energy industry and the privatization of the national oil and gas distribution companies in South America, Jordan and Colombia. He has also been in charge of many assignments in the oil & gas industry, developing competences models, assessing executives and recommending salary and compensation schemes. In addition, Daniel has helped LPG, LNG, E&P, refining and fuel distribution and retail marketing companies in developing their international strategies, feasibility studies, valuations, economic analysis, due diligences and balance score card systems. He graduated as industrial engineer from the National University of Buenos Aires, and holds an MBA from the Universidad del Salvador/Universidad de Deusto. Daniel speaks fluent Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Bernd Schreiber is Partner in the Operations Management Practice of von Arthur D. Little Central Europe. Mr. Schreiber has 18 years of industry and consulting experience in Performance Improvement and Operations Strategy covering both manufacturing and service industries. For the time being Mr. Schreiber is responsible for the Benchmarking-Study 'Supply Chain Performance Excellence'. In the service industries Mr. Schreiber supports our clients along their entire supply chain on their way to Operative Excellence.

Hiroshi has considerable experience as a consultant heading projects for clients in manufacturing, systems integration and engineering. Hiroshi has a degree in Applied Chemistry.

Ben is located in our London office. He has over 16 years of consulting experience with a primary focus on strategy, technology and innovation management, and due diligence. He has a particular focus on E&P energy projects. Ben recently managed ADL’s Global Innovation Excellence Study. He holds a MBA (with distinction) from Rotterdam School of Management and Chicago GSB, a MSc in Science and Technology Policy from SPRU, and a BSc in Physics from the University of Manchester.

Nick is a Partner of Arthur D. Little's UK business and is based in London. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil, gas and electricity industries, many of which have been as a consultant. His primary focus areas are in the fields of upstream (fiscal terms) and strategic/commercial matters in the midstream gas & power sector. He is active in the field of dispute resolution, and is a greatly sought-after expert for his knowledge of the European gas industry in particular. Nick is an economist.
